Who We Are

Gallaher’s House of Hearing Aids first opened in 1990, but its roots go back even further. The first generation of Gallahers started in the hearing industry in the 1960s; today, the next generation proudly carries on the family practice. Our name is on everything we do, and it’s important to us that we uphold the reputation for friendly service and expert knowledge that our parents earned in St. Louis.

Many of our family members are hearing impaired, so hearing aids are a way of life for us. We know firsthand what a difference getting your hearing back can make for you and for your family. Every make and model of hearing aid we prescribe to clients has first been tried by someone in our family; nothing ever goes on a client until multiple family members have worn that kind of hearing aid and tested it in restaurants, in the classroom, at church, and at the family functions where all 26 of us come together. We’ve studied hearing loss and earned our professional certifications, but our expertise doesn’t just come from a book — this is part of our real life that we live with every day.

We truly are a family practice, and when you come to Gallaher’s House of Hearing Aids, you can be sure we’ll treat you just as well as we would treat any member of our own family.

Scott Gallaher, HIS

Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

As the youngest of four children, he used to help out in his parents’ office after school. He officially joined the family business to help install a new computer system, but soon he was working alongside his father and mother fitting patients with hearing aids.

He believes that fitting hearing aids properly is as much an art as it is a science, and his hands-on experience means he knows how to do it well. Scott, his wife, and his kids all wear hearing aids, and he understands what a difference they can make in your life. In addition to being licensed in the state of Missouri, he previously served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Hearing Society.
